Abshot 1 Lost to Winchester 2 in a close match.
With the home team having higher Gradings in 3 of the strings, the match was always going to be in their favour. The away team proved the statisticians wrong though by clinching a great win.
On paper, the number 5 string should have been the closest, with only 4 ranking points separating the two players before the match.
The Away player, Phil Ashman, did well therefore to secure the win.
It was the number 4 String which turned out to be the most competitive, with the Players battling out over a total of 93 Points ! Victory finally going to the Away Player, Paul Thomas.
With 3 strings going the distance, the match turned out to be a hard-fought battle.
Player of the match must be the Away number 2 string, Ben Thomas, who over-turned a 1390 ranking points disadvantage to record a great win.
If the Away No. 1 player, Jordan Smith, had not had to withdraw after 3 game(s) the result could have been closer.
