Match Report Press Report

Winchester 5 Lost to Trojans 5 in a close match.

With the home team having higher Gradings in 5 of the strings, the match was always going to be in their favour. The away team proved the statisticians wrong though by clinching a great win.

On paper, the number 2 string should have been the closest, with only 58 ranking points separating the two players before the match. The Away player, Theo Blackburn, did well therefore to secure the win.

It was the number 3 String which turned out to be the most competitive, with the Players battling out over a total of 89 Points ! Victory finally going to the Home Player, Dave Chater.

Player of the tie was the Away No. 4 string, Mark Alderman, gaining 100 Ranking Points from the match.

Player of the match must be the Away number 4 string, Mark Alderman, who over-turned a 401 ranking points disadvantage to record a great win.
