Match Report Press Report

Petersfield 2 Lost to Winchester 5 in a close match.

With the away team having higher Gradings in 3 of the strings, Home advantage looked to be needed to take the win. The stats turned out to be correct, with a fine Away win.

On paper, the number 2 string should have been the closest, with only 43 ranking points separating the two players before the match. Home advantage prevailed though, with Graham Dawes winning through.

It was the number 1 String which turned out to be the most competitive, with the Players battling out over a total of 56 Points ! Victory finally going to the Away Player, Ross Flanigan.

Player of the tie was the Away No. 5 string, Pete Glyn-Jones, gaining 70 Ranking Points from the match.

Player of the match must be the Away number 5 string, Pete Glyn-Jones, who over-turned a 211 ranking points disadvantage to record a great win.
