Match Report Press Report

Petersfield 2 Lost to Portsmouth Navy 1.

With the home team having higher Gradings in 4 of the strings, the match was always going to be in their favour. The away team proved the statisticians wrong though by clinching a great win.

On paper, the number 1 string should have been the closest, with only 24 ranking points separating the two players before the match. The Away player, Conrad Young, did well therefore to secure the win.

It was the number 3 String which turned out to be the most competitive, with the Players battling out over a total of 64 Points ! Victory finally going to the Home Player, Gary Cox.

Player of the tie was the Away No. 4 string, Laurie Lacey-Hastings, gaining 70 Ranking Points from the match.

Player of the match must be the Away number 4 string, Laurie Lacey-Hastings, who over-turned a 230 ranking points disadvantage to record a great win.
